Gracias Choir | "For Unto Us"

The Gracias Choir is a Korean choir with excellent live stage productions based in New York that typically tours the globe with shows for over 200,000 people annually. Due to the pandemic touring was brought to a halt. The choir still wanted to reach their audience, and this year they decided to turn the first act of their Christmas Cantata into a film. The Gracias Choir contacted CRASH+SUES' Sam Fischer to direct this unique production.

The pre-production time was short, all of 4 weeks, as they had a location booked in Texas that had an open window in the schedule at Capernaum Studios, a recent site for the series The Chosen.

Sam immediately worked the stage play script to convert it to a film's screenplay.  The production schedule was 13 days, 11 of those days all in a row. Long days and many hours later, we made a beautiful film, thanks to the many talents of the choir's actors, staff, and the C+S film crew!
