C+S Recipe | Matthew Kroese

WHO MAKES UP CRASH+SUES?

It takes a heaping spoon of editor, a dash of creative, and a drop of engineer to make Matthew Kroese.

Get to know Matthew a little better:

What’s something you’d like people to know about you that they might not know?

I’m missing a finger nail—I was born without one on my left pinky finger. And I’m also an identical twin.

What made you want to get in to the video world?

I have always liked assembling things. Editing is like piecing together a puzzle to create something new.

In your 12 years here, what stands out from other places you’ve been/worked at (or where we are now compared to where we’ve been)?

When I first started here, we were only post-production. Everyone had a very specialized set of skills. Now, everyone here needs to take on a variety of tasks and learn new applications. Our skill sets are broader than they used to be.

Where do you see C+S or yourself going in the future?

For CRASH+SUES, I would ideally like to see our company expand to fill the areas we have not explored. Not that we should become an agency or anything, but being able to keep handling all our clients’ needs as we grow.

What’s one piece of advice you wish you knew sooner?

Always shop around for better car insurance.
