C+S Recipe | Katie Heywood

WHO MAKES UP CRASH+SUES?

It takes a spoonful of motion designer, and a dollop of creative to make Katie Heywood.

Get to know Katie a little better:

Favorite vine?

There are so many. Probably “Zach Stop.” This CalArts student keeps lifting his legs and then they show him getting arrested by the police.

What stands out about C+S to you?

I think CRASH+SUES is very approachable, and that makes us unique. Everyone here is so nice. The industry in the Twin Cities is growing and it’s great to have a shop like C+S that is so approachable. The people here are great too.

What or who inspires you?

My local role model is Andrew Chesworth. He used to work at Make and now works for Disney. His cartoonish style inspires me and he’s essentially who I want to be when I get older.

What are you most passionate about accomplishing?

Making an influence on other people’s lives, so eventually going into entertainment. I have a long way to go, but I’m eager to learn and help those who were in my place to get to where they need to be.

Favorite motto?

This is so corny…. But “Why worry? If you’ve done the very best you can, worrying won’t make it any better”  — Walt Disney. It reminds me that I should always try my hardest.
