The Sanneh Foundation | "Shine Bright"

A close friend of CRASH+SUES VP/ Executive producer Sam Fischer is Tony Sanneh, a retired professional soccer player.

In 2003, while still at the height of his professional career, Mr. Sanneh created The Sanneh Foundation to leverage what he saw as soccer’s unique potential to create positive social change for youth.

However, it wasn’t until officially retiring from professional soccer in 2010 and becoming the organization’s full-time President and CEO that TSF began its meteoric growth.

Overseeing TSF’s overall direction and future development in both the United States and internationally, he has grown the organization from one program and a total budget of $60,000 to 6 programs and a yearly budget of $3.5 million in five years.

In addition to his executive leadership role with The Sanneh Foundation, Mr. Sanneh serves as a Sports Envoy on behalf of the SportsUnited Division of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. In this capacity, he has worked in Cyprus, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Malaysia, and Bolivia to further American cultural values of gender equity and respect for diversity.

Tony believes in allowing all children to learn, grow, and succeed with The Sanneh Foundation; he seeks to accomplish that goal through its programs, partnerships, and events.

With the recent and ongoing racial disparities and tensions in our country, Sanneh Foundation board member Sam Fischer is always looking for opportunities to contribute to its programs’ success.

Recently CRASH+SUES teamed up with Zechariah Thormodsgaard of Gaardhouse and Damian Petrou of Brave New Media, both of whom have been long time board members and contributors of the Sanneh Foundation to create a brand awareness video for Tony Sanneh.

When media companies join in the efforts of positive change, good things happen!
