KTWIN – Sleep Rock
Production, Color, Finish
From beginning to end, we had the privilege of working alongside our friends at Olson to produce three spots for local radio station, K-TWIN. Working to coordinate casting, costume design, scouting, shooting, directing, and post-production, we definitely had our work cut out for us. After a quick stop with Brodie Howard (ditch) for creative edit, CRASH+SUES picked back up on the post side, Sean Hall and Eric Riggs handled animation, SUE Lakso did color, Matthew Kroese took care of finish, and Uproar’s Kent Militzer did sound. Full scale production was handled by Carrie Bush (Production Manager/AD) and Molly Katagiri (Production Coordinator), who worked closely with line producer Sven Shelgren. Full scale productions definitely come with their share of behind-the-scenes stories, and this one was no different. Imagine casting for identical twins, locally and across the nation, working for the Twins baseball radio station, in the Twin Cities, with double DPs, gaffers, grips, and directors. Seeing double was not an optical illusion! Working with hilariously talented twin brothers from Nebraska, Gabe and Graham Burkum (or was that Graham and Gabe?), we captured enough twin video magic, with and without Ron Gardenhire, to fill a full 162 game baseball schedule of airtime promoting the team’s radio partner KTWN. Watch for the TV spots and billboards, everywhere!
